Boyle Carter Larson Album (see family links)
Betsy, I couldn’t stop looking at the old pictures. Those of Orson in Siberia are amazing! At least they dressed them warmly enough. I always wondered how a farm boy from Lehi fared in Siberia. --Jeaneen

Update on Pic
Well, I should have checked with my sweet husband before posting. He remnded me that, "YES" Dick Oyler had been in the Navy - that is how he and Sis met!
I also received a reply from my friends serving a mission in SoCal. They write: "Karen, yes that is Dick Oyler. He gave a talk at the FHE held on base for the singles. Talked with him for just a little. His experience at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7th 1941 touched us all. He got emotional telling about the death of his friend stationed in an area of the ship that had also been his station until shortly before the attack. Small world isn't it."
It is indeed a small world.

Does Anyone Know?
Did Dick Oyler serve in the Navy and was he at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked?
A couple from SJ is serving a mission in Southern Cal and they sent me a note and a couple pages with pictures for the holiday. In one of the pictures is a man --- who looks remarkably like Dick Oyler --- identified only as "Navy - Pearl Harbor Survivor."

I've sent a note off to the Patterson's to ask about the man's identity but it sure does look like him and I'm hoping someone here can provide feedback on whether it is in fact Dick Oyler in the picture.
